Jean-Luc François has been Head of Life and Savings at CA Assurances since March 2018.
Jean-Luc François began his carreer in 1989 at Rhône Poulenc Japan in Tokyo as assistant to the CFO in the Corporate Finance and Strategy department. On his return to France, he joined Roussel-Uclaf, where he served as an economic and financial analyst in charge of a portfolio of international subsidiaries, then as Special Advisor to the CEO of the Roussel-Uclaf group. In 1996, he moved to the management consultancy McKinsey & Co., becoming a partner in 2003. He specialised in the financial institutions sector, particularly corporate and investment banking, for which he headed the global practice at the Paris office. He subsequently worked at Aviva France, the largest foreign subsidiary of the leading UK insurer, from 2006 to 2011, first as CFO and member of the management board, then from 2008 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. In 2011, he joined Crédit Agricole Assurances as Head of International Insurance.
He is a graduate of HEC business school and holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia).
